Skip Franklin
Senior Vice President of Business Development, PassAlong Networks
Skip Franklin oversees Business Development for PassAlong Networks and is responsible for developing strategic partnerships.

A digital pioneer, Franklin has been developing software since the early 1980s. Highlights of his career include nine years at MountainZone.com, a site recognized for pioneering mountain sports coverage on the Web, where he was instrumental in building a community of more than 1 million mountain sports enthusiasts in the late 1990s. Franklin also developed key partnerships with companies including ESPN, Warren Miller, REAL Networks, MSN, Yahoo!, and Clear Channel before the company was sold to Quokka Sports, Inc. for $25 million.

Franklin was also a co-founder of Amaze, Inc., a digital media company that brought traditional animation and graphics to computers, and spent three years as an executive vice president with the company. At Amaze, he helped negotiate a landmark contract with cartoonist Gary Larson and The Far Side that resulted in several award-winning computer products with more than a million units sold. Franklin also developed the first license with then-unknown cartoonist Scott Adams, creator of Dilbert. While at hDC Corp., Franklin was the mastermind behind a lucrative IBM OEM bundling deal for hDC Windows Express and Windows Manager on IBM PCs, and closed the first bundling deal with Microsoft Excel.
