As Seen on CMT™: Speakerheart Artist Shannon Lawson Guides Unlikely Country Musicians of CMT's Gone Country

Franklin, Tenn. — January 30, 2008 Speakerheart™ artist and Muzikmafia™ member Shannon Lawson is featured on upcoming episodes of CMT's latest reality show, Gone Country, which airs Fridays at 8 p.m. EST/PST.

Hosted by Muzikmafia co-founder John Rich, the series features celebrity musicians with backgrounds ranging from R&B and '80s rock to American Idol and a hit '70s TV series. After writing an original song, each country newbie must then perform their tune in front of a live audience. With the help of Music Row's best songwriters, the show offers the performers a chance to break out as the next big country superstar.

"We are happy to see the talent of our Speakerheart artists being recognized," said Brad Edmonson, Speakerheart president. "Shannon is a great example of a Speakerheart artist actively working to get his name out there. It takes a lot of hard work to make a name for yourself in this industry and Shannon is obviously on the right track."

Lawson is featured in several episodes as a collaborator and mentor to the contestants. He even joins Dee Snider, former front man of the band Twisted Sister, as well as Sisqo, Bobby Brown and Maureen McCormick (The Brady Bunch), in their song performances.

"Working with Shannon 'layin' down the Law'-son on CMT's Gone Country was like being taken to school," said Snider. "Great playing, great singing, great songwriting. The dude's a triple threat. What more could you ask for?"

Catch Gone Country on CMT and find out what "Lawdawg" referred to as "a really, really bizarre good time." For the full show schedule, visit www.cmt.com/shows/dyn/gone-country/series_showtimes.jhtml.
