PassAlong Networks Announces Connected Consumer Division

New Division to Focus On Integrating Content Services Into Consumer Electronics Products

Franklin, Tenn. — Mar. 22, 2007 — PassAlong Networks™, developer of digital media services and innovations, today unveiled its Connected Consumer Division (CCD), which focuses on the integration of its technologies into consumer electronics (CE) devices. The CCD will work with CE partners to embed its digital media technologies into chips and devices in order to bring new types of products to market with innovative content capabilities and services.

"Our objective in creating this division is to better empower the Connected Consumer™ ecosystem, where software and hardware technologies and content blend seamlessly to provide the consumer with a better media experience," said Dave Jaworski, Co–Founder and CEO of PassAlong Networks. "Together with our strategic partners we will be announcing new products specifically designed to enable consumers to access the digital media content they want, when they want, in the home or on the go."

The CCD will be co–managed by Brad Edmonson, PassAlong's Senior Vice President of Technology, and Ben Algaze, who recently joined PassAlong as Vice President of Connected Consumer Strategy. Algaze, who was formerly with Microsoft, Dell, Unisys and IBM, has extensive experience in software, Internet and digital media technologies. He spent 10 years at Microsoft in several capacities, including director of business development for the Digital Media Division, where he focused on DRM, Windows Media, technology licensing and strategic partnerships.

"The future of CE revolves around how best to serve the connected consumer," said Creative Strategies' Tim Bajarin, an expert consultant/analyst in the CE space. "These kinds of technologies will play a key role in enhancing the consumer digital ecosystem."

PassAlong's Connected Consumer Division will be exhibiting a prototype solution at the 2007 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) trade show (www.nabshow.com) in Las Vegas, April 16–19.
