PassAlong Networks Introduces Connected Consumer™ Technology at NAB 2007

Connected Consumer™ Bridges PC and CE Industries With a Software–Based Rich Media Content Delivery Platform Connecting the Internet to Consumer Electronics Devices

Franklin, Tenn. — April 12, 2007 — PassAlong Networks™, developer of digital media services and innovations, announced today that it will demonstrate a prototype of its Connected Consumer™ platform at the 2007 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) conference in Las Vegas, April 16–19.

PassAlong's newly–formed Connected Consumer Division will show several scenarios where consumers can use a low–cost, consumer electronics (CE) set–top box enabled with PassAlong software, connecting directly to the Internet to download or stream high–quality movie and music content.

"Consumers want the content they want, their way, wherever they are," said Ben Algaze, VP of Connected Consumer Strategy at PassAlong Networks. "Our Connected Consumer division is creating software–based solutions encompassing client applications and web services platforms which enable compelling consumer media experiences across a variety of CE devices."

PassAlong's Connected Consumer technology leverages today's Internet media formats by providing a feature–rich, customizable user interface and by enabling an easily deployable model for content distribution directly to devices without connection to a PC.

Together with partners StreetDeck and Gracenote, PassAlong unveiled its Connected Consumer technology at the Geneva Auto Show last month, where it demonstrated how a consumer listening to a song playing on a car radio or satellite receiver can purchase the song using a simple voice command. Utilizing Connected Consumer technology, the system identified and downloaded the song from the PassAlong online music store (www.passalong.com) directly to an integrated device in a luxury sedan.

"We're happy to provide PassAlong Networks with Gracenote MusicID and Global Media Database for connecting consumers with music information on whatever device they choose," said Jim Hollingsworth, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Gracenote. "Our technology helps PassAlong enable a new generation of intelligent CE devices that will be able to tap into the vast array of digital entertainment available over the Internet."

Registered media and NAB attendees, including CE manufacturers, semiconductor companies, content owners and content aggregators are encouraged to stop by booth C3155 in Central Hall 2 of the Las Vegas Convention Center and experience the Connected Consumer demonstration.
